An All-in-One Launcher for the Xbox 360 Gears of War Games!
Gears of War, Gears of War 2, Gears of War 3 and Gears of War: Judgment are back, and this time they run natively on PC. I'm Shagg and COGBox is my project that takes the original Xbox 360 games and rebuilds them as real Windows programs through static recompilation. There's no emulator running while you play, and every frame is drawn by a renderer built for these games. That means the campaigns you remember at up to 5K resolution, with DLSS, FSR or XeSS, HDR, ultrawide, an uncapped frame rate and low input lag. Lancer duels, Locust hordes and Horde-mode nights finally look and feel the way they always deserved to.
The COGBox launcher puts all three games on one screen, ready in minutes. Drag in your own copy and it handles the rest: unpacking, title updates, chapter select and settings that explain themselves. Shaders load almost instantly, an in-game menu lets you tweak settings without quitting, and Xbox and PlayStation controllers work out of the box, with Vulkan and Steam Deck support on the way. It's free and open source on GitHub, and no game files are included, so dust off your discs, bring your own copy and get back in the fight.
